Last Post

The year has ended and it is amazing how far the Senior class has gone since the beginning of the year. I can't believe Dr. Forman's english class is over when after all the blogs and after all the pain and struggles trying to write a perfect essay for Dr. Forman, the class has ended. I didn't really see it coming and it doesn't feel like the year is over. I feel like I still have a lot of senior year left and I can remember the day I started High School at Buckley. I can barely remember the day I started in middle school at Buckley and I don't remember at all the day I started in beginners at Buckley. It has been so long since I was in Lower School but I remember how good it was to do nothing in lower school except have free time, ALL the time. This is my last and final post of my Buckley Career and my senior year. YAY!!

Done with AP's

I'm so glad I am done with AP's, like the feeling is amazing because I have less of a burden on my shoulders and I don't have to worry about studying and preparing for the AP because I am done. Also, this last weekend has been stressful and I haven't had that much time to relax, so I'm glad that all of those things are done so I can just relax. And I cant believe this is our last week of school as seniors. Wow.

Living in Boston

It seems intense to live in a city on the East Coast but actually it is an adventure that I am looking forward to living in a historic city. It will be an experience to live in the midst of Bostonians that have a totally different lifestyle than people living in Los Angeles. They take the metro, they live in a smaller city that have less cars and more people walking. Everything is compact and people can make it to a different part of the city in less time because there is less traffic and less congestion. Overall, after visiting Boston two times I can get the sense of happiness that people experience in Boston. It seems at Boston University, I will get to experience the same happiness that Bostonians feel everyday. Also, Boston is on the East Coast!! So far my parents which in some respects is a good thing, however; it is extremely far from my home in Los Angeles, where I lived my everyday life for 18 years. We'll see how I do. Who knows?

Making up for the missed blog on Monday because I wasn't here: Senior pride

I believe that the Senior pride of the Class of 2011 is incredible with our strength and talent in all aspects of life. I can't believe that we have made it this far and I believe that every single person will succeed in college no matter which area of expertise they pursue. I can name every single person in our grade and describe their talent and uniqueness that they bring to the senior class but it would take me 4 hours to type. I just have incredible love for this class and these last four years have been amazing.

Making up for the one due friday: Recent golf achievement

I am basically done with my golf career at Buckley and as I look back, I have had a lot of successes and a lot of failures but I have learned to be a better golfer and a better person from the game of golf. I may not have always been on the top of my game but I have definitely added to Buckley's golf program. When I first started as a freshman, the team didn't look too good. We finished our season with a record of winning 1 game and losing all of the rest. I expected the team to do better but apparently it didn't happen. Sophomore year, we finished our season with a record of 6-6, winning half of our games but looking forward to the next season to improve. Junior year, we finished our season with a record of losing 2 games and winning all of the rest and we missed winning league by 2 games. This was a pretty successful season and we achieved a lot during this season. Senior year, My last and final year, we finished our season with a record of 15-0 undefeated liberty league champions. As a team, we advanced to CIF playoffs. What a good way to end my golf career at Buckley, right?

Spirit Week Entertainment

I think that Seniors usually have the most spirit out of any grade because I believe that they realize that this is their last year to participate in any senior event at the Buckley School and they want to make this spirit week the best that it can possibly be. I think that the Class of 2011's determination and strong will, will be able to put us above all of the competition and strive for excellence. We have a great number of students in our grade that are talented in many different areas of life and that by combining all of this great talent, we have the strongest grade out of any. I think that we look good for winning spirit week this year because we realize that this year is OUR year.

Creative Blog #3 A Restaurant Review

For my creative blog, I'd like to pose a review for a restaurant and I would like to choose the all famous Cheesecake Factory. The idea about the cheesecake factory is that there are not too many people who hasn't been to the cheesecake factory in their lifetime because the Cheesecake factory chain spreads all over  the country. I am reviewing this restaurant because I would like to discuss how conformity connects with people's need to experience this restaurant at least once in their lifetime. At the restaurant they make the most amazing cheesecakes with millions of flavors to choose from. It is amazing how many cheesecakes the Cheesecake factory can actually produce in one factory and this with the amazing food this restaurant serves is why so many people enjoy it. Its almost like a conformity for people to go to this restaurant and enjoy the food that this place produces. This is an example of a restaurant that is "in" and how people want to go try the restaurant because it is the "in" thing to do. Personally, I really enjoy the Cheesecake factory and I'm glad it is a restaurant that I can enjoy once and a while.
